First Cultural Meeting of Rotary Year 2026–27

Rotary Club of Panvel Central has proudly carried forward the legacy of public service and welfare inspired by the wisdom of Indian sages and saints for the past 36 years.

Building on this rich tradition, the club organized its first Cultural Meeting of Rotary Year 2026–27 on 24 July 2026.

The meeting was thoughtfully designed around the idea of connecting Rotary’s Seven Areas of Focus with the timeless contributions of the Saptarishis—the seven revered sages known for their dedication to the welfare of humanity.

A Blend of Tradition and Service

The cultural meeting explored the common thread between the ancient Indian philosophy of Lok Kalyan (welfare of society) and Rotary’s modern approach to community service.

The club made a meaningful attempt to draw parallels between the Seven Areas of Focus of Rotary and the noble work and ideals associated with the seven sages of the Saptarishi tradition.

This unique concept brought together Indian cultural heritage and Rotary’s commitment to service, highlighting how the spirit of serving humanity transcends generations.

Service Rooted in Values

For Rotary Club of Panvel Central, the cultural meeting was more than a celebration of tradition. It was an opportunity to reflect on the values that have guided the club’s service journey over the last 36 years.

By connecting ancient wisdom with contemporary service, the programme reinforced the belief that the true purpose of knowledge, leadership, and culture is the welfare of society.

The meeting was a thoughtful and inspiring beginning to the club’s cultural activities for Rotary Year 2026–27, celebrating both India’s rich heritage and Rotary’s enduring spirit of Service Above Self.
